What is Adzuna?
In early 2014, Nine announced a joint venture with Adzuna, a leading international job search engine. Together, we will be providing a new online platform for recruiters and job seekers in Australia via adzuna.com.au. More information about Adzuna can be found here.
Can I still advertise in MyCareer?
MyCareer will continue to exist in print, and you can continue to place print employment ads in the SMH and The Age via advertisers.com.au.
Where can I place my advertisement?
You can place an ad:
- Online – the listing will appear on Adzuna.com.au
- The Sydney Morning Herald
- The Age (Melbourne)
Can any job role be advertised?
Yes, as long as it abides by the Nine Employment Classified Job Advertisement Policy. We reserve the right to reject or remove any listing which we believe does not adhere to our policy. The policy has been designed to ensure our customers have the best experience possible.
What does it cost?
To place a metro ad online, your ad will cost $60.50 (GST incl.) Ads placed in regional Australia will cost $44 (GST incl.) Newspaper ads start from $151 (GST incl.).
Which browsers can I use to place a listing?
Adzuna supports most recent versions of the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer
- Google Chrome
It is recommended that users do not use Internet Explorer 8 or lower to place ads on Windows XP operating system.
Can I post a listing if I live outside of Australia?
You can post a listing from anywhere in the world however currently into Australian locations only. We ask you simply to be aware of the laws regarding advertising positions specific to the location of the job position.
Due to our current payment structure, if you are purchasing a newspaper advertisement, you will not have the option of being billed, instead you must pay either by credit card or using PayPal.
Payment & Security
How can I pay for my ad?
Customers can choose to pay using a Credit Card or via PayPal. A 0.9% surcharge will be added to Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express cards for payment to cover processing and administration fees associated with the payment that is charged to Nine. Is the site secure?
Yes. The payment gateway is secure, preventing anyone gaining access to your credit card details.
Is my identity protected?
The information provided to create your Nine account will not be published online and Nine will not sell, trade, give or rent any personally identifiable information obtained by you to a third party unless you consent.
Do I receive any confirmation of my payment?
You will receive on-screen confirmation once payment has been made. We will also email you a confirmation of payment and receipt, which should be kept for future reference.
Can I change my billing details?
You can change your billing details by clicking on your username. Then simply click on 'Edit Details' and make the necessary changes.
I have entered both my street address and postal address – where will my tax receipt be sent to?
If you have entered a postal address it will be sent there.
Login & Membership
How do I get a username and password (set up an account)?
When placing an ad for the first time you will be prompted to register an email address and password. You can then continue creating your listing.
Can I change my username and password?You will need to login to the Nine member centre to update your membership details. Visit our Member Centre.
Why do I have to join Nine to place an ad?
I am a member but it will not accept my password?
Please note that the password is case sensitive. Have you forgotten your password?
Do I have to show my company name?
You need to provide us with your company name, but you can elect to not display it by ticking the 'Do not show company name' when creating your job listing.
Can I edit my listing once it has been booked?
You can edit your online listing at any time by logging into your account. Click on the 'My Ads' tab to see all of your ads. Then click the 'Edit' button next to the listing you want to change. Changes will be made immediately.
Is there a limit to how big or long my online listing can be?
There is no limit on the size of the online ad, so you can enter as much detail as you wish..
How do I remove my online listing?You can remove your online listing at any time by logging into your account. Click on the 'My Ads' tab to see all of your ads, then click on the 'Remove' button next to the listing you want to remove.
How long will it take my listing to appear on the website?
Listings are reviewed to ensure they adhere to our advertising policies, please note in some cases there may be a delay in publishing of your ad. If you have any questions please contact us on 1300 799 337 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
What if I don't find someone within 30 days? Can I post my job listing again?
Yes, you can repost the same job if you have not successfully filled the vacancy after 30 days. Rerunning your ad will be done at the same cost.
Can I post the same job numerous times on the website to increase my chances of finding someone?
No, you should only post your job listing on the site once. Please be aware that the site will be monitored to ensure there are not multiple listings of the same job.
I am not receiving any enquiries. What am I doing wrong?
There are a number of factors to consider if you are not getting the response you would like:
- Have you included important details such as salary and location?
- Have you included details of your company including staff culture and employee benefits?
- Have you included as many appropriate contact details as possible?
- Have you included bullet points to highlight the key benefits of the position?
